1.- What is learner centered instruction ( LCI )?

It refers to a wide variety of educational programs, learning experiences and academic strategies that are intended to address the distinct learning needs, aspirations or cultural backgrounds of the students. So that the students are able to solve problems, formulate questions of his own. This process wants the benefit of the students.

2.- What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

The teacher is not an instructor. He becomes a facilitator. In this way he is the person who fasters students learning, providing help, comprehension, the materials, guides and so on.

3.-Explain the 4 key principles of student centered learning.

1.- Teaching and learning is personalized it means the principal is learning needs, interest, aspirations of individual students.

2.- Learning is competency based it refers when the students advance in their education. They demonstrate they have learned the knowledge and skills with more detailed discussion.

3.- Students have the flexibility to learn anytime and anywhere meaning that students learning in other places nontraditional classrooms or nontraditional times, such as on nights and weekends.

4.- Students take ownership meaning students are given opportunities to make choices about their own learning.
