the context of a deep understanding of the learning process itself. Learned

centered instruction puts more emphasis and responsibility on the learner and

the learning process. The instruction is designed based on the students experience

to integrate new knowledge in different contexts. To teach a foreign language implicates

an integration of the earning experiences, engage the students in the learning

What is the

main role of the teacher in LCI?

Teachers will not simply be required to deliver a set of facts and

information to the nation. They will be encouraged to recognize that their learners

are individuals, with different learning styles, personalities, and interests,

as well as differing levels of motivation and ability

learning is about the information skills with students are mastering we envision an education system where

learning transcends the traditional school calendar and setting. We envision a

system where student’s progress based upon mastery of a skill or topic, rather

than time spent in a classroom.  The

students shouldn't be bored in the classroom. Let's reshape our system so that

learning is personalized, and students have a true voice in their education.

Student’s response to individual needs, interest and challenges.

'''3 Learning happens anytime, anywhere'''. Students follows and

makes important discoveries about themselves own roundness when they are beyond

the traditional all days school. Learning does not start and stop when the bell

'''a. What is learner-centered instruction?'''

Learner-centered instruction is an educational paradigm that moves the focus

to the students and how they learn best.

This is accomplished by means of active learning, engagement, valuing

prior knowledge and experiences, increased student involvement, personalization,

and differentiation.

'''b. What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?'''

The main role of the teacher in LCI is that of a facilitator that provides

the necessary environment for learners to exploit their assets, background and

other resources to construct meaningful and relevant learning.

'''Explain the 4 key principles of student centered learning'''

# Personalization.- Getting to know students as a basis for their

development proces

# Competency-based.- Learning is primarily based on the mastery of skills that

are adapted to students needs and interests.

# Flexibility.- Learning is not limited to the classroom, but it can take

place “any time and anywhere”

# Ownership.- Students have direct contact with the content and are

encouraged to take a more participative role on their learning for long-term

learning

1.    - What is learned centered instructions?

The learner centered approach put more emphasis and responsibility

on the learner and the learning process where the teacher engage students

in a world  of knowledge  that they are

able to acquire in different situation and moments using their everyday

experiences.

2.    - What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

The teacher turns into a facilitator, guider,

organizer providing students different opportunities to learn independently awarding

them to be responsible and creator of their own techniques to learn where they assume

active and collaborative learning. Also it can let teachers to coach the

students’ skills they need to be effectively. Moreover we must leave to learn

by motivating and supporting their work.

3.    - Explain the four key principles of students centered

learning

·

Personalized learning is

considered the learner’s experience to design assignments base on activities

around and previous knowledge they have through their experiences.

·

Competency based learning

permits to focus on what they have already known and they should show the

advancements of the skills and contents. It implies learning by practicing to

discover or wake up their curiosity as their main aim so that teacher’s

motivation plays an important role at that moment because we must take care

individual interest or needs.

·

Students take ownership. I

think that our students are the heart of CLT so that we have to provide chances

or choose what they want to learn becoming in charge of their own learning letting

to be open minded students free of express their though using their own words.

·

Learning never stops

because it happens anytime and anywhere.

<nowiki>*</nowiki>Learner Centered Activity 1:

a.       What is learner centered instruction?

It is a way of teaching in which the students are the focus of the class and the teacher must accommodate all day techniques, resources and methodology to the necessities and reality of the students for them to be more engaged with the content in an interactive and personalized way, for the students to increase and improve their learning.

b.      What is the main role of the teacher in LCI.

The main role of a teacher in LCI is to create an environment with several specifications regarding  :

The own responsibility of the student towards their own learning, the application of different learning styles, and  teaching techniques that consider the students as the center of the learning process and in an interactive way.

c.       Explain the four key principles of students centered learning

1.      Learning is personalized:

There is a vital and strong relationship between teachers and students so teachers know the students` weaknesses and strengths and know what stage they are in the learning development. It means that affected part of the student is stimulated and in that way the students feel more comfortable and confident to perform in class undeveloped skills.

2.      Learning is competency-based:

Teachers can respond to each and every individual interest and challenge from the students, and the learning process is treated as a continuous process regarding what the students learn day by day and not just moving from one course to another. For this, we must assess the students learning process with rubrics that can make evident how the progress of the students is happening.

3.      Learning happens anytime and anywhere:

Students learn by discovery and not only during the class time. It means that we can make students relate daily knowledge with what we are teaching them everyday inside a classroom.

4.      Students take ownership:

It is about making the students participate in the decisions and learning specifications regarding materials to be used, topics to be treated and even activities to be performed in class, so they can feel that they are an active part of the learning process with also responsibilities and rights.

A.- Learner centered is an important approach in which the instruction is focused on the learner and the learning process trying to create a learning environment that seems almost the same in which students learned their mother tongue. LCI let students become active in learning process stablishing goals, learning strategies and the main part which is evaluating their own progress. In LCI students become responsibles and confident of their ability to learn and use the new language.

B.- The most important role of the teacher in LCI is to motivate students to accept responsibility for learning, creating teaching techniques that accommodate different learning styles.

C.- The 4 principles key that LCI shows involve :

1.- personalized learning in which teachers should understand students cultural enviroment ;

2.- learnig is based on competences helps create methodologies to develop different skills;

3.- larning happens anywhere, anyway; a good learner can learn from different areas as good teachers can teach with many kind of tools.

4.- students take ownership in learning process including students presentation and projects and learning cycle instructional models. In addition I consider 2 advantages of LCI It is enjoyable and It leads to improve students learning.

'''WHAT IS LEARNER CENTERED INSTRUCTION?'''

Learned centered instruction puts more emphasis and responsability on the learner and the learning process.  The instruction is designed based on the student´s experience to integrate new knowledge in different contexts. To teach a foreign language implicates an integration of  the learning experiences,  engage the students in the learning process,  student´s  choices, knowledge in meaningful contexts, social interaction and the learner´s desire to learn the language.  The learner-centered  focuses   each learner in the context of a deep understanding of the learning process itself.

'''WHAT IS THE MAIN ROLE OF THE TEACHER? (LCI)'''

The teacher  takes the role of the facilitator because he  provides students  opportunities to learn independently. Teacher assumes active and colaborative learning by using a constructivist approach. It means teacher involves  students can be able to build their own knowledge . Also   this new focus  permits  teacher can coach  the students´skills they need to do so effectively.

'''EXPLAIN TH 4 KEY PRINCIPLES OF STUDENTS CENTERED LEARNIG?'''

1.- '''Learning is personalized'''.- This principle considers the learner´s experience to design assigments an activities around what students know or have experienced.

2.- '''Learning is  competency based'''.- It permits to focus  what students  know, in this case they should demonstrate the progress of the skills and content. It implicates learning by practicing  to discover or simply  wake up the curiosity as a main recquirement to learn, in this way the teacher´s motivation plays an important role at the momento to take in account individula differences or interests .

3.- '''Learning happens anytime, anywhere'''.- Teacher should create envinronments to produce the learning so that the students are encouraged to build new knowledge in different contexts.

4.- '''Students take ownership.'''- Students are the heart of CLI so they  have the opportunity to give  opinions or  choose about how to learn more, thus  the  students decide topics to study, ways to learn and demonstrate learning, books to read, things to write, assessment. But the condition is to reflect on their own progress, selfstudy and overall  to  understand how to learn, how to develop a creative thinking.

CLI is an approach to teaching that focuses on both the learner and learning. Major features of CLI includes personalized learning, social and emotional support, self regulation, aunthentic task and collaboration.

<u>'''b. What is the main role of the teacher in CLI?'''</u>

- Foster students learning

- Accommodate different languages styles

- Motivates students to accept responsability for learning

<u>'''c. Explain the 4 key principles of student centered learning'''</u>

# Learning is personalized: individual progress through various common stages of development, influenced by both, inherited and environmental factors.

# Learning is competency-based: students solve problems, answer and ask questions, discuss, explain, debate or brainstorming during class, think and express their views.

# Learning happens anytime, anywhere: students need to know what they must use, what they know and have a purpose, creating a culture of learning anytime, anywhere.

# Students take ownership: taking on more active roles of learning.

LEARNER CENTERED APPROACH

- What is learner centered instruction?

It focuses on students learning. The the active learning emphasizes in students being able to solve problems, answer and formulate questions of their own. They are able to debate, explain and discuss their way of understanding things. In cooperative learning students work in teams on problems and projects under conditions that encourages interdependence and individual responsibility.

- What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

Teachers supply diferent learning styles according to students`needs. Helps students to see the importance of learning. Ulilizes multiple teaching tecniques appropriate for student learning goals. Designd activities where students interact with the material, the teacher and classmates.

- Explain the four key principles of student centered learning.

First learning is personalized, this means that teachers should know each students needs and know how they are developing.

Second, learning is competency- based. Students can preceed in their own pace. Teachers respond to individual needs, interest and challenges.

Third. Learning happens anywhere, anytime. Ss will make important discovery about themselves and the world around. So if we take them to the zoo they will learn, and if I take them to the beach they will so learn.

Fourth. Students take ownership. Students play a direct role in their own success. They empower with the process.

'''LEARNER CENTER INSTRUCTION'''

What is learner centered instruction?

It is a group of methodologies where the learning is focused in the student and his/her process and also it stimulate students to be part and must be responsible of their own learning and get confidence to use the language.

What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

According to the learner centered instruction the teacher is a facilitator who provides students of tools and activities for the process and also the teacher has to recognize the progress of his/her student.

Explain the 4 key principles of student centered learning.

The first one is personal learning, it refers that the learning must be personalized. The second is Competency, so it explains that the leaning is based in competences. The Third  is Learning never stops, it says that the learning can happen at anytime and anywhere, and the last one, Student's ownership, refers to students have to take ownership.

<span style="font-size:18px;">LEARNER CENTER INSTRUCTION APPROACH</span>

The video shows how to Learner Center Instruction approach supports teachers in order to get meaninful learning. Students become the center of teaching and learning process. Thelesson plan addresses individual needs, encourged to learn as a result students feel confidence and want to learn more.

Learner Centered Instruction:

a. What is learner centered instruction (LCI)?

In my opinión, it´s a group of methodologies that are focused to students

that are worried about their own learning process but they need to be

encouraged or guided during this process

b. What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

I think the role of a teacher is to engage the students learn by themselves.

This teacher becomes the best tool because h/she has to motivate or encourage

the students´learning process.

c. The 4 key principles of student centered learning

1. Learning is personalized: It happens when the teachers know the students about

their weaknessess or strengths. The teacher knows about the knowlegde of

students.

2. Learning is competency based: It is related to every students´avilities

and skills development to face the real life and solve their necessities.

3. Learning happens anytime anywhere: It isn´t necessary to be inside the

classroom to learn, nowadays learning process occurs anytime and anywhere

outside the classroom.

4. Students take ownership: So teachers and

students  make a decisión about the

learning process, both are important but students take the most important

decisión in their own learning process.

What is a learner

centered instruction?

It is a new framework

of learning that points out that students’ skills as well as their interests

are the core of the classroom. The role of the teacher is to look for engaging

activities in order to   motive students

to be the builders of their own process of teaching-learning as a

consequence   learners will be successful

ones.  The principles of student centered

learning are: First, learning is personalized, so it is necessary to take into

consideration   students as individuals

with their own strengths and weakness. Second, learning is competency-based, it

means that each student is capable of   mastering skills based on his or her necessities.

Third, pupils are discoverers   of the

knowledge anytime, anywhere.  Fourth,

students take a principal role in the teaching-learning process so they are responsible

for their learning while the teacher is a guide a motivator.

Learner Centered Instruction (LCI)

'1.

What is learner Centered Instruction?

Learner Centered Instruction is a teaching method that focuses on students engaging in hard work, reflecting on their learning process, and learning independently or collaboratively.

What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

Teachers support students by devoting some class time to non-traditional activities, including teaching learners how to use learning strategies , how to use available tools and resources, and how to reflect on their own learning.

Explain the 4 key principles of student centered learning.

  1. Learning is personalized. Personalization also encompasses differentiated instruction that supports student progress based on subject matter mastery. Teachers help students find what they like and want to learn about and what their strengths and needs are.
  2. Learning is competency based. Learning opportunities take into account existing knowledge, skills, and abilities, set high expectations, and push students in supportive ways to reach their personal goals.
  3. Learning happens anythime anywhere. Education is inmersed everywhere, in diferent ways. Students develop their skills and build their personal knowledge and experiences .
  4. Students take ownership. A student who takes ownership of their learning becomes a driving force in their own education. They direct their learning, and they take it upon themselves to work hard when necessary. They assume responsibility for their own work without needing to be persuaded to do so.
