What is learner centered instruction?

Learner centered instruction refers to a class in which teacher makes the role of facilitator by providing his/her students the basic tools for students' interaction. So, students by themselves create their own knowledge.

Learner centered instruction is an approach that we, as educators have to practice all time to guide our students to enhance the learning process.

The video shows us the high potential of the student when he/she is motivated by the guide. Thus, the students' background knowledge are taken into consideration when planning a class.

What is the main role of the teacher in LCI?

The teacher is the facilitator of the knowledge. He/ she guides students to a meaningful learning to be applied in a real way in different contexts and settings.

Explain the 4 key principles of student centered learning.

I considered the four key principles are: personalized, challenging, meaningful and scaffolding.
